New England Larder is an innovative business concept developed by Granite Belt chef Geoff Metcalf. Geoff is passionate about using fresh quality products in his dishes, and is constantly surprised by the range of produce available in the Granite Belt region.
Initially inspired to use local vine or tree ripened products in the range of relishes and preserves, Geoff is now looking at ways in which he can increase the exposure of these products and enhance culinary tourism in the region.
His latest venture is an Espresso Bar at the Stanthorpe Tourist Information Centre where visitors can sit and enjoy an espresso coffee and home-made cake whilst planning the rest of their stay on the Granite Belt. Picnic packs with a regional accent will also be available as well as his range of preserves.
